Those who have this machine or are also planning to get it, Are there any other upgrades you would do to the machine? Not talking about tooling accessories, rather the machine itself.

From my research I am leaning toward the LMS 3990 HiTorque Mini Mill with one of their packages. One thing that bothers me, is that using a milling vice and parallels for through hole boring, you loose Z axis space. The obvious solution is 2-4 1" steel spacers mounted under the column and attached with longer bolts.

I have a G8689 Mini Mill from Grizzly, and it has been a great little mill for the price. I do agree with Adam, it does has it limitations as it doesn't have the weight needed to make heavy cuts (vibration) and your limited to the tooling that you can use.
